Scope and Sequence

Digital Think Tank Objectives:
- Participants will identify ways that they communicate with families and how engagement is received by school leadership.
- Participants will identify common benefits and challenges in partnering with parents.
- Participants will brainstorm ideas about how teachers can use digital communication platforms to increase the number of advocacy-based interactions in their classroom/school communities (and what those actions could look like).
- Participants will consider the outcomes and challenges of facilitating conversations with teachers about increasing the number of advocacy-based interactions with families.
How can educators increase the number of advocacy-based interactions with their students’ caregivers (with the goal of promoting children’s growth and progress)?
How does the presence of school-based social media affect educators’ ability to involve caregivers in advocacy and decision-making that supports positive outcomes for their children?
