Use HEARD to Extend Classroom Learning to Home

It may be one of the least controversial statements in American education: Parent involvement can make a difference in a child’s education. And research shows that steps schools and teachers take to help families support their children’s learning at home can impact student achievement.

As a teacher, you have the option to add a Home-School Connection Prompt that helps families support the learning at home. And gives them the opportunity to comment about their experience, providing feedback on the lesson and giving other families ideas.
